Snack List for Summer Travel

This week OFFICIALLY kicks off summer!

I’m a Midwest girl but I’ve gotta admit…

  • I live as far south as I can and still be considered “Midwest”

  • I travel somewhere sunny every chance I get!

If I’m traveling as much as I HOPE to, I can’t let my fitness goals slack every time I’m on vacation!

Travel-friendly workout? Check!

(Or the SIS membership fitness classes pack nicely on a phone!)

A sun-shiny new workout tank? Check!

Now all we need are snacks.

Girl, I got you for EVERY stop- or lack of- along the way.

Don’t leave home empty handed! For the first leg of your trip, you can pack things that need to be kept hot or cold. There are loads of easy options!

To pack and bring with, consider…

  • Fresh fruit

  • Fresh veggies with hummus

  • A wrap or sandwich

  • Shredded rotisserie chicken

  • Homemade soup or salad

Once the cold pack melts and the thermos cools down, you’ll need some convenience foods.

To pick at the gas station or airport, consider…

  • Crackers and deli meat

  • Bistro boxes

  • Hard-cooked eggs

  • Dry cereal with fresh milk (Or as fresh as you can get outside the Midwest! Amiright?)

  • String cheese

You made it! Time to settle into your swanky Air BnB! It’s hard to know what to expect in a rental kitchen. But has time to cook when there’s a beach to be seen anyway?

When you arrive, purchase…

  • Oatmeal packets

  • Microwavable rice or quinoa

  • Rotisserie chicken (Seriously so versatile)

  • Cottage cheese

  • Fresh veggies with hummus

See? Easy peasy. You can enjoy a vacation AND enjoy snacks that keep you on track.

I have these suggestions and many more in a printable chart! Because I know you’re wondering…

  • What high-protein snacks should I choose on the go?

  • What about the kids?

  • What about when we’re out and about?

Check, check, and check! Go get your summer on, girl!
