This sister is rocking her physical fitness journey! In a little
over one year of watching her nutrition and committing to
weekly workouts, Megan has transformed her life.
words from megan:
Why do you work out & what is your favorite aspect of working out?
“I work out because it makes me feel awesome! Also, it gives me the energy I need to chase my almost 2-year-old around the yard. What I love most about doing Erika’s workouts is that when I am doing them they are tough and they make me want to give up, and it seems like she knows that I want to give up, then she chimes in and tells me to keep going. She gives me the motivation to keep going! My favorite thing about working out is trying to see how far I can push my body, and to see what my body can do!”
Who are your inspirations/motivators?
“My mom was the one that introduced me to this program a little over a year ago. I also would have to say everyone in this group has been a great motivation. Seeing everyone get their workouts done makes me want to get them done as well. Everyone that has cheered me on along my journey has been a huge blessing.”
3)What would you tell someone who wants to live a healthier lifestyle but is struggling with getting started or sticking with it? How would you inspire them to start & stick with it?
"You don’t need to take on the world your very first time trying to be healthy/working out. SET GOALS FOR YOURSELF! Starting with something small like eating healthy, then adding in the workouts.”
What is your life motto?
"Be a Bad Ass a with a Good Ass!"

"I am a paraprofessional in the Western Dubuque Community School District. I am actually going back to school right now to become a teacher! . Fitness has become a big part of my life, so whenever I have the chance to do something physical I do it! I live in Farley, IA with my husband Ethan, and my son Kipton, who will be two in July. We love being outdoors and spending time with our family and friends!"

words from Brittany:
Getting healthy takes time. You do not need to become a health fanatic all in one day. Take baby steps. I started by changing my breakfast from a Casey’s breakfast pizza to a lower-calorie frozen egg sandwich. Then weeks later, I made small changes to lunch and then to supper. Now I am a year-and-a-half into my "get healthy" journey.
I am so happy I took the time to make all those little changes because now they have really added up to a GIANT change. The last year-and-a-half of my life was going to happen regardless, I am happy I spent it improving myself and that I did not give up. Also, the most important thing to remember is YOU WILL HAVE BAD DAYS…weddings, graduation parties, holidays- they all happen and they will never stop happening. It’s important to go into those events being mindful, but do not beat yourself up for having an extra cupcake. Enjoy life, but jump right back on the healthy track the second that you can.
