Healthier Tailgating Recipes

This weekend is the BIG game!

If you’re from Iowa, I don’t need to explain this further. You know that our two biggest colleges, the University of Iowa and Iowa State University, go head-to-head in the best football game of the season.

People seriously plan life events around this game. And if you go ahead and schedule over it anyway, you should plan to provide a big television.

Iowans do rivalries well. We’re fairly good-natured about it. We’d never wear apparel from the opposing college, but we could maybe manage a tailgate party with our friends from across the aisle.

Our opinions on the best team might vary, but everyone agrees on the best appetizer for a Midwest tailgate: Ham and pickle roll-ups.

Amiright?

Ok, if I’m not right, I have seven other healthy tailgate appetizer options in this week’s freebie. Scroll to the bottom of this post for your link.

In true SIS fashion, each of the options is made a little bit healthier than your traditional recipes. There’s the obviously healthy (veggie pizza) along with the not-so-obviously (peanut butter cookies!) and ones that always fly under the radar (seriously, chicken wings are such a great go-to!)

The Sweat Inspire Sisterhood is all about making a healthy lifestyle part of what you already have happening. No one feels left out or deprived here! That means the blog is stocked with posts perfect for this weekend:
